2026 Wakefield Town Election season begins next week

WAKEFIELD — Beginning next Friday, January 2, nomination papers will be available at the Town Clerk’s office for positions up for election in April.

In 1897, Dr. Philip O’Hanlon, a coroner’s assistant on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, was asked a question by his then 8-year-old daughter, Virginia, which many parents have been asked before: Whether Santa Claus really exists.
