Local rail trail project wins state grant funding

BOSTON – The Healey-Driscoll Administration yesterday announced $7.5 million will be awarded through the MassTrails grant program to support 50 trail projects that will improve and expand the trail network across Massachusetts.

This funding will create 60 miles of new recreational trails, making it easier for residents to access and enjoy outdoor spaces.

WAKEFIELD — The Town Council last night approved several articles for the Nov. 8 Regular Town Meeting warrant.   

The articles expected to draw the most interest at Town Meeting are those initiated by the Bylaw Review Committee. Daniel Lieber, chairman of the Bylaw Review Committee, was at last night’s Town Council meeting to discuss those articles.
