WAKEFIELD — Catherine L. Ogar, 91, of Wakefield died on Tuesday, June 21, at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading.
Born in Lynn on May, 15, 1925, she was the daughter of the late John and Eleanor (Harney) Lemmon.
Mrs. Ogar was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1942, and Emmanuel College, Class of 1946. She had been a Wakefield resident since 1962 and was a member of St. Florence Parish in Wakefield.
Mrs. Ogar was the wife of the late George W. Ogar. She was the loving mother of George W. Ogar Jr., Elizabeth M. Ogar and husband Mark Jacobs,
Catherine E. Ruiz, Peggy Kennedy and her late husband William P. Kennedy Jr., Patricia E. Beane and husband Donald and Marie T. Brown and husband Peter. Mrs. Ogar is also survived by 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her brother Francis Lemmon.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Florence Church,
47 Butler Ave., Wakefield, at 10.
Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Lynn. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday from 4-7 p.m.
