The North Reading Department of Public Works (DPW) has announced that construction will begin on Central Street on or about July 13, 2015. This will begin with approximately a weeks’ worth of pulverizing to reclaim the road surface. The DPW will schedule a paving crew to begin work the following week to limit the amount of time the public will have to drive on an unpaved surface.
During the construction, Central Street will be open to residents only. All other drivers should seek alternative routes. Through traffic will be re-routed to either Rt. 28/Main Street or Haverhill Street.
Motorcycles are strongly urged to seek alternative routes.
