WAKEFIELD — On Wednesday, Jan. 20, visit the Boys & Girls Club of Wakefield at 4 p.m. for some good, clean crafting fun. If you are 7 to 10 years old and would like to discover the fun things you can do with soap, please join us. Put soap through a couple of simple science experiments after you try to predict what will happen.

They will use the results of one experiment to create some of their own unique designs. Put your thinking cap on and then use your imagination. Each participant will create soaps to take home that will make hand-washing during cold season so much more fun.

This activity is the first in a series of arts and crafts activities that will be held weekly now through the month of March and is just one of a variety of activities available to members at no additional cost to the $25 annual membership fee. Membership is open to all young people ages 7-18. If you are not a member yet you can become a member at www.bgcwakefield.org. Come down to the Boys & Girls Club of Wakefield located in the lower level of the Americal Civic Center at 467 Main St. to take a tour and learn more about what they offer.

For more information contact Club Director Mike Stevens at mstevens@bgcwakefield.org or 781-246-1343. The Club is open to members Monday through Friday 2 to 6 p.m.
