WAKEFIELD — Claudia M. Martin, 80, of Wakefield, died on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the Bright View Assisted Living in Wakefield.

Born in Wakefield on June 12, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Claude M. and Miriam (Skulley) Ryder.

Mrs. Martin was a graduate of Nazareth Academy in Wakefield, Class of 1955 and Chamberlain School of Retailing in Boston. She had worked at Jordan Marsh in downtown Boston as an assistant buyer and member of the Executive Training Program, and had volunteered for St. Vincent DePaul Society. Mrs. Martin was a member of St. Joseph Church in Wakefield. She had lived in Lexington for 20 years then in Falmouth for 23 years. Mrs. Martin enjoyed bowling and gardening.

Mrs. Martin was the wife of the late Robert A. Martin. She is survived by her four daughters; Stacey L. Russo and her husband George of Plymouth, Karen Della-Giustina and husband her David of Orange, Conn., Maryanne Martin of Wakefield, Claudia E. Martin of Falmouth, her son Robert A. Martin and his wife Susan of Falls Church, Va., and her brother William Ryder of Bedford. Also survived by 12 grandchildren. Mrs. Martin was predeceased by her sister Patricia Lewis.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Tuesday at 10 a.m. There are no calling hours. Interment will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
