Machinist was Vietnam War veteran

CUT-fairfield-obit-webDERRY, N.H. — Clifford M. “Cliff” Fairfield of Derry, N.H., formerly of Wakefield, passed away on Friday, Oct. 14, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 69 years of age.
Born on July 4, 1947, Cliff was the loving son of Virginia (Eldredge) Fairfield and the late Earl Fairfield. Cliff was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Cliff was a dedicated machinist for many years. He proudly defended our freedom by serving in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Cliff was the beloved husband of Wanda (MacKenzie) Fairfield. He was the father of Christopher and Jamie Woods. Cliff was the dear brother of Allen Fairfield, Stephen Fairfield and his wife Janet and Jean McEachern and her late husband Bob. He was the adoring son-in-law of Lois MacKenzie and the late Donald MacKenzie. He was the brother-in-law of the late Kenneth MacKenzie and his surviving wife Linda, Cliff was the uncle of Suzanne, Dustin and Catherine.
A Memorial Service Celebrating Cliff’s Eternal Life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (Route 28) in Stoneham. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend.
