WAKEFIELD — On Wednesday, April 13, at 7 p.m. the Guidance Department will host a presentation on “Lowering the Cost of College by Maximizing Your Financial Aid Presentation” in The Savings Bank Theatre at Wakefield Memorial High School.

Organizers invite middle school and high school parents to an information-packed seminar that will explain how the financial aid system works and help you understand the cost of a college education.

This seminar will encourage you to plan ahead and explore how to make college affordable prior to entering the junior and senior year of high school. The evening’s agenda will include the following: Costs of College, College Forms and Formulas, Time Lines for Getting Aid, Myths & Truths about Financial Aid, What Constitutes Financial Aid, the Financial Aid System and Formula, College Savings Plans and Home and Family Strategy.

Seventh to 10th grade parents are strongly encouraged to attend.
