NORTH READING — The Land Utilization Committee and the North Reading Parks and Recreation Department will present the Hillview Commissioner’s Cup golf tournament on Sunday, October 1.

The Comissioner’s Cup began with 120 golfers 21 years ago and over the years has been a dependable fundraiser for the Hillview Commission’s efforts to improve North Reading’s quality of life by developing such assets as Ipswich River Park and the North Reading High School Arthur Kenney Turf Field.

With the community’s help, the golf tournament will help the town continue to build its next vision, a multi-generational community facility at Ipswich River Park. The Land Utilization Committee and North Reading Parks and Recreation Department believes that fundraising for the Community Center will be ongoing for several years, however, they are certain that the end result will be a significant addition to every single person in the community.

Now accepting tournament sponsors

The Land Utilization Committee is also accepting sponsors for the Commissioner’s Cup. Businesses can sponsor a banner for $250 each, a hole and cart for $150, or a cart for $50. The Committee is also accepting any monetary donations, as well as raffle item donations.
