WAKEFIELD — Concettina M. “Connie” Ellis, 92, of Wakefield, died January 2, 2018 in Reading after a long period of failing health. She was born in Wakefield on May 15, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Angelo and Annunziata (Evangelista) DeFeo. She was a lifelong Wakefield resident and was retired from the former L.B. Evans Shoe Company of Wakefield. She was also a life member of Saint Florence Church.

Connie was the beloved wife of the late Robert C. Ellis. She was the loving mother of Marlene Tryder and her husband Bob of Wakefield and Kimberly Lockwood and her husband Gary of Reading. She was the sister of the late Angelo, Jr., Victor, Phil, Rico, Freddy, Louis and Gilda DeFeo. She is also survived by her five loving grandchildren, Kyle, Jarod, Jeremy, Montana and Bo.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield Monday at 8 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in St. Florence Church 47 Butler Ave. Wakefield at 9 a.m. Interment will follow at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-4 p.m.
