WAKEFIELD — Constance C. (Govostes) Murray, 86, of Wakefield, died on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at her residence.
Born in Boston on November 3, 1932, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary E. (Mhoon) Govostes.
Mrs. Murray graduated Everett High School in 1949. She had been a Wakefield resident since 1976. Mrs. Murray was the former owner of Superior Auto Body in Somerville. She was an animal lover and as well as an avid reader and gardener.
She was the wife of the late Henry R. Murray. Mother of Thomas Yeung and his wife Shirley of Norton and Jack Bailey, Jr, and his wife Carol Ann of Stoneham. Grandmother of Richard Yeung and Robert Bailey. Sister of the late Carolyn Mhoon Govostes. Cousin of Stephanie King and husband Terry. Aunt of Kristen and husband Gary, Clyde, Lisa, Annie and Robert. Sister-in-law of Dennis P. Burgess. Beloved sister-in-law of Nancy. Niece of the late Katherin, Gus, Steven, Stella and Catherine Govostes.
Her funeral will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-4 p.m.
