WAKEFIELD — David M. Eldredge, 61, of Wakefield and formerly of Reading, died Sunday, Aug. 7, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Born in Winchester on June 12, 1955, he was the son of Phyllis M. (O’Donnell) Eldredge of Methuen, formerly of Reading, and the late Clarence R. Eldredge.
Dave was raised in Reading and was a graduate of Reading High School, Class of 1973. He had worked for Ace Movers in Reading, Sunnyhurst Dairy in Stoneham and finally West Lynn Creamery in Lynn where he had worked until 2008. For the past several years, he had been a delivery driver for Smith’s Drug Store in Wakefield. He loved the Boston Red Sox, country music and music trivia.
Dave was the beloved husband of Mary Louise (Baker) Eldredge. He was the loving father of Erin M. Tieuli and her husband Michael of Woburn and Julie C. Eldredge of Wakefield. He was the brother of Stephen Eldredge of Reading, Susan Eldredge of Methuen, Paul Eldredge of Uxbridge and Kathy Eldredge and her husband Michael Goodwin of Londonderry, N.H. He was the brother-in-law of Michael J. Baker and his wife Denise of Wakefield. Dave is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, on Monday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o’clock. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield. Visitation for relatives and friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday 3-6 p.m.
