Put the needs of others before her own

 

Diana-Pierce-Obit-webNORTH READING —  Diana (Pasquale) Pierce of North Reading passed away June 3. She was the beloved wife of George Pierce and the loving mother of Laura and Adam Pierce of North Reading. Diana was the cherished daughter of Elena Pasquale and her late husband Peter and the adored sister of Anthony Pasquale and Chong of Saugus. 

Her funeral was held from the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St. North Readingon Saturday, June 6 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter St. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery, North Reading. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Diana’s name to the Ellie Fund for Breast Cancer, 475 Hillside Ave, Needham, MA 02494. 

Diana was a very compassionate woman who always put the needs of others before her own. The holidays were a cherished time where Diana would spend weeks baking Italian pastries and biscotti for her family and friends. She was happiest tending her vegetable and flower gardens. Her love of nature was the inspiration for the many paintings displayed in her home. In the fall she loved inviting family and friends over to apple pick in her backyard orchard. She enjoyed canning tomatoes and jellies from her home grown fruits and vegetables. Diana will be remembered for the love and generosity she showered upon everyone around her.
