NORTH READING — Diane (Dalton) Anderson of North Reading died Monday, March 8, 2021 in her home. She was born in Wakefield on June 26, 1937 and was educated in the Wakefield schools. Diane was a foster parent for many years. She loved children and worked as a self-employed childcare provider and later was an assistant in her daughter Cheryl’s childcare business.
She was married to the late Robert Anderson for over 50 years. Diane is also survived by her children, Cheryl Fritts and her husband James of North Reading; Bonnie Noonan and her husband Scott of Andover; Paul Anderson and his wife Audrey of Williamstown Vt.; and Glenn Anderson and his wife Stacey of San Jose, Calif. She was the dear sister of Arthur Dalton Jr. and his wife Beverly and the grandmother of nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Diane was also the mother of the late Mark Anderson. A memorial service will be held this summer in Vermont. Arrangements are under the care of the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., (corner of Park St. and Rte. 28), North Reading.
