Member of first class to graduate from NRHS

NORTH READING — Diane Cecile Roberts passed away peacefully on August 1 at Kaplan Hospice. Born on Dec. 26, 1940, she was 74. Bob Pashby was with her at the end.

Diane grew up in North Reading and was a member of the Class of 1958, the first class to graduate from North Reading High School. She enjoyed RV camping for years and then later Bob and she went to tent camping. They enjoyed yard sales and flea markets. Diane was the daughter of the late Richard E. and the late Theo I. Roberts. She was pre–deceased by her sister, Lorraine Roberts and a granddaughter, Whitney O’Brien.

Diane is survived by her life partner, Robert Pashby of Peabody and her children, William O’Brien of Las Vegas, Kellie O’Brien of Wilmington and John Scoyne and his wife Tracy of North Reading; also by her grandchildren Jennifer Diane Mozuch and her husband Scott of Wilmington; Sara O’Brien of Wilmington; Brittany, William Jr. and Presley O’Brien of Las Vegas; Fallon and Sheena O’Brien of Gloucester and Jake and Tammy Scoyne of North Reading.

She is also survived by her great–grandchildren Matthew, Patrick and Elizabeth Diane Mozuch and Colin and Joey O’Brien and her brother Richard Roberts and his wife Ellene of North Reading and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a private graveside funeral and memorial service on Aug. 15 at 10 a.m. at Martins Pond Union Baptist Church.
