NORTH READING — The North Reading Historical and Antiquarian Society’s Apple Festival returns to the grounds of the Putnam House on Bow Street in just three short weeks, on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (rain date Sept. 20).
The 21st annual event includes an apple pie eating contest, an art raffle, a silent art auction, artisans and crafters, town souvenirs, children’s games, pony rides, food and drinks entertainment and tours of North Reading’s historic buildings such as the Putnam House, West Village School House, the Sgt. Flint House and the Farm Museum, which made its debut at last year’s Apple festival and has since been improved.
The annual Apple Festival is family fun for all and is North Reading’s unique way of welcoming in the fall season.
