STONEHAM — Dorothy L. Gosselin, 94, of Stoneham, formerly of Wakefield, died on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Everett on September 22, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Alfred W. and Amy L. (Mason) Hunt.

Mrs. Gosselin was raised in Stoneham and was a graduate of Stoneham High School, Class of 1942. After graduation she worked for John Hancock for five years. She married the late Leo R. Gosselin on June 7, 1947 and they shared 45 years of married life together. She was a Wakefield resident for over 60 years. A homemaker, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Betty L. DeVries. Mrs. Gosselin is survived by her two grandsons; Steven DeVries and wife Kim of Windham, N.H. and Brian DeVries and wife Jessie of Reno, Nev. and her four great-grandchildren: Paige, Sam, Jacob and Sierra DeVries. She is also survived by her son-in-law Frederick DeVries, Jr. of Reno, Nev.

Visitation for relatives and friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., followed by a graveside service at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
