Edith-'Dee-Dee'-Paul-webPEABODY — Edith (Studer) “Dee Dee” Paul, age 95, of Peabody passed away peacefully on March 3, at Brooksby Village.

She was the beloved wife of the late David H. Paul, who passed away just 38 days earlier. She was the loving mother of MacGregor “Mac” Paul of Durham, N.C.; Laurie Brustlin of Campton, N.H.; and Barbara Bellotti and her husband, Peter Bellotti, of Winchester. She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Scott Paul; Kelly and David Brustlin; and Peter, Bobby and Jeffrey Bellotti. She is also survived by one great-granddaughter, Adalyn.

Dee Dee was born on June 22, 1920 in Wathena, Kan. to Paul and Lydia Studer. She was the seventh child of 10 children and grew up on a large farm, which is still owned and farmed by the Studer family today.

Dee Dee moved with several sisters to San Diego during World War II and there, she met and married David Paul. As a loving and loyal wife, she and David moved over 20 times in their almost 70 years together. Wherever the Navy or Norton Company, David’s employer of 33 years, asked them to go, she settled into each new community, creating a warm home, caring for her children and making the best of every new locale from Memphis to Michigan.

Dee Dee’s greatest priority was being a mother but she was also an avid gardener, bridge player, reader and walker.

A private service will take place at a date to be determined when she and David will be buried together at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
