READING — Edward F. Grace Jr., 84, of Reading, passed away on Friday, Feb. 20.
Edward was the beloved husband of the late Claire (McWhinnie). He was the loving companion of Carol Reid and the dear friend of Janice Leahy and family.
A friend to all, Edward is survived by many friends at St. Agnes Church. During the Korean War, Edward proudly defended our freedom by serving in the United States Air Force.
Ed retired from DeCatur Hopkins Company. In his retirement years, Ed worked for the Reading Police Department and Lowe’s. He loved all dogs, especially his dog Missy.
The funeral will be from Doherty-Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St., Reading, on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrating Edward’s Eternal Life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St., Reading at 10:30 a.m.
Friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the family on Tuesday, Feb. 24, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Parking attendants and ramped entrance available.
Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Stoneham.
