WAKEFIELD — Edward Michael Foley, 58, passed away peacefully on January 15 after a long illness at the Stoneham Life Care Center in Stoneham.

Ed was born on July 14, 1959 and was a lifelong Wakefield resident.

Ed is predeceased by his parents, Gerald Foley and Hazel Foley, and his brother Gerald Foley, Jr.  Ed is survived by his loving brother John Kevin Foley of Reading, and sister Renee Foley Johnson and brother-in-law Parker Johnson of Waltham. Ed is also survived by the Boodry cousins of Wakefield and the Foley cousins of Billerica.  Ed knew so many people in Wakefield and had many friends going back to the Lincoln School days.

Ed worked in the hotel and restaurant industry and was a lifelong Boston sports fan of all the great teams. Ed loved riding his bike and would often be seen riding around the beautiful Lake Quannapowitt.

Ed received wonderful care and treatment from the kind and compassionate staff at the Stoneham Life Care Center.
