Ellen married her beloved husband and best friend, Charles “C.J.” Bassett and the couple shared many special times throughout the years with family and friends. Ellen and C.J. became parents with the birth of their son Ryan and their world became even more enriched. Ryan was the center of their world and Ellen cherished being a “mom”. Ellen was not only a devoted wife and mother but also a wonderful homemaker. Her door was always open to family and friends and she truly enjoyed being a “caretaker” to anyone who needed some extra love in their life.
Ellen was known to be an “adventurer.” She loved to travel to new places and meet new people. She was always very friendly and kind to everyone. Ellen’s travels took her near and far. Some of her special places included Newburyport, Rockport, Bar Harbor, Wells, Maine, Ireland and Aruba. She loved to walk along the ocean and enjoy the shoreline. Always a kid at heart, Ellen also looked forward to the Disney World trips with her family and friends. These were some great vacations that will be treasured for years to come.
Ellen will be fondly remembered for her love of children. She was a wonderful “Auntie” to her nieces and nephews as well as her friend’s children. Ellen enjoyed the innocence of children and she always showered them with unconditional love. Ellen loved her family and friends with all her heart. She was kind, caring, dependable, and would do anything for them.
Ellen will forever be in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved her.
