WAKEFIELD — Ethel Lillian Bisacre, a lifelong Wakefield resident, made her journey to Heaven surrounded by her husband and children on Thursday, March 19.
Ethel was born in Chelsea on July 28, 1937 and was the beloved daughter of the late John E. and Myrtle (Rumson) Keats. She was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1955. She had worked for the Town of Wakefield as a legal secretary and was a member of St. Joseph Church.
Ethel was the beloved wife and best friend of Robert C. “Bob” Bisacre, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Col. Michael D. Bisacre, U.S. Army (Ret) and his wife Paula of West Friendship, Md., Elaine Manning of Wakefield and Col. Brian R. Bisacre, U.S. Army, and his wife Cyndi of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. She was the sister of Ann DeSisto and Sam Keats, both of Reading, Lee Meisner of Georgetown and the late Bobby Keats. Ethel is also survived by her eight loving grandchildren: Jennifer, Amanda, David, Alyson, Kaitlyn, Cameron, Kevin and Craig, and two step grandchildren, Tyler and Trevor. She was preceded in death by her daughter Lee Ann, son-in-law Barry and daughter-in-law Pamela.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, on Monday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield, at 10 o’clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from noon to 3:30 p.m. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
