WAKEFIELD — With growth comes change! The Festival Italia and Holiday Stroll have grown leaps and bounds in the last 8 years. Because of this, the Event Planning Committee (EPC) has chosen to move forward with Wakefield Main Streets its financial partner.
Event Planning Committee spokesperson Susan Majeski stated, “Our group of volunteers, that have organized both the Festival Italia and Holiday Stroll, will continue supporting the community and the mission to support the local businesses, as well as bring these high-quality events to the Town. It is a ‘win-win’ situation for both Main Streets and the EPC, enhancing the membership of both organizations.”
The Event Planning Committee is finalizing plans for Festival Italia scheduled for Saturday, August 19.
Before the event, the EPC will hold a fundraiser “Samplings & Satire” on Thursday, August 17, at the Sheraton. The proceeds from this event are used to offset costs associated with Festival Italia, as well as the Holiday Stroll scheduled in December.
