Will be held from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. in high school cafeteria

WAKEFIELD — The first annual Wakefield Memorial High School Mattress Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, Jan. 23 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. in the cafeteria at the high school.

Brendan Kent, K-12 Director of Athletics, Health, and Wellness for the Wakefield Public Schools, is trying to start up a free after-school and potentially before-school strength and conditioning program for all of the students at Wakefield Memorial High School.

Kent doesn’t have the funding to start up a program right now. That is why he is putting on this fundraiser Saturday. All funds raised during the fundraiser will go toward starting up a Strength & Conditioning program for the Wakefield kids.

Many other schools in the area host this fundraiser every year and have huge success. The Lexington High School Band hosted this fundraiser earlier this year and they raised over $14,000 in one day. Kent hopes to do the same for the Wakefield students.

This event has been VERY successful in school districts all over the country for nearly 10 years and Wakefield now has the opportunity to be a part of that success.

Twin mattresses are from $165, Full are from $179, Queen from $199 and King/CA-King are from $499.

All sizes are available. There are Firm, Pillow-top, Orthopedic, Latex & Gel Memory Foam sets. All mattresses are BRAND NEW with full factory warranties.

There are also adjustable beds, Luxury Pillows & Mattress Protectors.

There are names brands like Simmons Beautyrest.

Layaway and delivery are available. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.
