Custodio, Harrington, Russell, Stackhouse honored

WAKEFIELD — The Middlesex League girls’ cross country coaches met recently to make this year’s all-star selections in both the Freedom and Liberty divisions. For the Wakefield Memorial High girls’ cross country team, it had four all-stars named.
Senior Sara Custodio, junior Abigail Harrington, sophomore Gillian Russell and junior Jordan Stackhouse were the four Warriors honored.
Wakefield, the five-time Freedom division champs, had the most all-stars chosen with four. Watertown was next with three selections, while Melrose had two all-stars named. Both Wilmington and Stoneham had one all-star each.
In the M.L. Liberty division, league champion Lexington had the most selections with six all-stars. Woburn and Belmont each had two all-stars and Winchester had one.
