Sullivan places seventh in Junior race to medal

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Four Warrior cross country runners made their way down to New York this weekend to compete in the Footlocker Regional Championships held in the Bronx on Saturday.
The prestigious meet attracts runners from the Northeast, including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Washington, D.C, and all six New England states.
Ryan Sullivan ran one of the best races of his junior season as he placed seventh in the Junior Race with a fast time of 17:31 on a very challenging 5K course.
Sullivan was awarded first team Northeast Region Junior honors and received a medal for his performance. He was the top individual from Massachusetts in the race and the fifth fastest junior runner from Massachusetts from the whole day.
Matt Greatorex and Tommy Lucey both ran well in the Freshman/Sophomore Race.
Greatorex was the 36th sophomore in the race with a time of 18:24 and just missed the Northeast Region Sophomore team by six places and 13 seconds. He was the 12th sophomore from Massachusetts.
Lucey placed 46th in the Sophomore Race with a time of 18:51. He was the 13th sophomore from Massachusetts.
Cassie Lucci was the only Warrior girl. She placed 50th in the Junior Race with a time of 24:48.
