Enjoyed trips to Aruba
MELROSE — Frances Marie (Rahilly) Malenchini, a longtime resident of Melrose passed away on November 30 at the age of 75.
Beloved wife and best friend to Paul Malenchini for 57 years. Loving mother to Paul Jr. and his wife, Maureen; Scott and his wife, Jocelyn; and Robert and his partner, Nicholas Maviano. Fran was a loving grandmother to Joseph, Haley, Julia, Lauren, Joshua and Matthew.
Fran was born on January 21, 1948, to the late James Rahilly and the late Frances (Collins) Rahilly in New York, NY. Fran was the oldest of five siblings: James, Jack, Richard and Judy. Fran attended St. Mary’s of the Annunciation School and was a graduate of Melrose High School in Melrose, class of 1965.
Fran enjoyed annual trips to Aruba and loved spending time at the family’s Florida home in Siesta Key Beach where she could always be found collecting sea shells and sand dollars, while enjoying beautiful sunsets.
Visiting hours were held on Tuesday, December 5 at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster St., Melrose, MA from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial took place at St. Mary’s of Annunciation, 4 Herbert St., Melrose at 11 a.m. Interment at Wyoming Cemetery, 205 Sylvan St., Melrose.
