WESTWOOD — Fred T. Willett of Westwood died on Aug. 20.
Fred graduated from Boston College in 1949. He held advanced degrees in Education, Business Administration and Computer Science.
He was retired from the Research Division of the Gillette Co. Upon retirement he was on the faculty of Merrimack College and Massachusetts Bay Community College. He also taught courses at Stonehill College for many years.
Fred was active in many professional, civic and religious organizations.
He was the beloved husband of Patricia M. (Kerr) Willett for 59 years. He was the loving father of Fred Jr. and his wife Sonja of Burnt Hills, N.Y., Stephen and his wife Vera of Norwood, Christopher and his wife Kimberly of West Yarmouth and Gregory and his wife Carol of Wakefield. He was the devoted grandfather of Luke, Eli, Tony, Teddy, Patrick, Katherine and Sean. He was the brother of Helen Christensen of Concord. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock, Westwood on Wednesday, Aug. 24, from 4-8 p.m. A funeral procession from the funeral home on Thursday morning, Aug. 25, at 9 a.m. will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Timothy Church, 650 Nichols St., Norwood at 10 a.m.
Interment at New Westwood Cemetery.
