WAKEFIELD – The fourth annual Parent University is slated for Saturday, March 11 at Wakefield’s Galvin Middle School, 525 Main St., from 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Parent University is open to residents of all cities and towns in addition to Wakefield residents. It offers knowledge and advice from community experts through a series of free workshops held throughout the morning with a focus on the educational experience and well-being of students. Attendees choose from a variety of workshops covering curriculum, technology, social issues and others.

Achieving a growth mindset

This year’s keynote speaker, Dr. Michael Mascolo, will discuss cultivating a growth mindset and helping children to achieve their potential.

The keynote speaker is sponsored by the Boys & Girls Club of Wakefield. Parent University is presented by Wakefield Public Schools, Wakefield Parent Partnership, Wake-Up Coalition, and Wakefield Academy. Wakefield Co-operative Bank is the event’s major returning sponsor.
