WAKEFIELD — Geneva J. Guilford, 92, of Wakefield, died on December 17, 2018 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center.
She was born in Wakefield on October 20, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Karol and Regina (Haladej) Krol.
Geneva was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1944. She was a retired bookkeeper for Lynn Economic Opportunity. Regina was a big Boston sports fan, especially the Red Sox. She also enjoyed knitting. She was a single mom and raised her three sons on her own.
She was the loving mother of Robert A. Guilford of Stoneham, John H. Guilford and his wife Pamela of Snohomish, Wash., and James D. Guilford and his wife Amy of Northborough. Regina was the sister of the late Henry Krol, Stacia Krol, and Maria Tinkham. She is also survived by her five grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Forest Glade Cemetery, Lowell St., Wakefield, on Friday December 28, at 12 noon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
