Longtime Wakefield resident, accomplished pianist
WAKEFIELD — Genevieve “Gen” F. Siciliano, 85, a longtime Wakefield resident, died Monday, Nov. 17 at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Born in Boston on July 13, 1929, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose (Corso) Galante.
Mrs. Siciliano was raised in Somerville and was a graduate of Somerville High School, Class of 1947. She later moved to Wakefield where she had lived and raised her family over the last 61 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Church and was an accomplished pianist.
Mrs. Siciliano was the beloved wife of Philip “Phil” C. Siciliano. She was the loving mother of Philip C. “Bud” Siciliano of Ipswich, Linda A. Cohoon and her husband Doug of Boston and Debbie Pydynkowski of Hampton, N.H. She is also survived by her adoring grandchildren: Darrell, Cara, Jimmy, Kathleen, Billy, Charlene and Tia, as well as her great-grandchildren: Mason, Domenico, Vincenzo, Ava, Vittoria, Michaela and Bronwyn. She was the sister of Ralph Galante and Lucille Ciampa, both of Stoneham, and the late Anna May Ciampa.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 11 o’clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
