WAKEFIELD — Gerald C. Holleran, 78, of Wakefield, died Sunday March 3, 2019 in New Hampshire.

Born in Winchester on July 13, 1940, he was the son of the late John H. and Muriel A. (DeSousa) Holleran.

Mr. Holleran was a lifelong resident Wakefield and summer resident of Conomo Point, Essex. He was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1959 and had attended the University of Miami. He was a former employee of the Mass Turnpike Authority, Wakefield Police Department and the Boston Federal Court House. Mr. Holleran was active in the Wakefield Little League and was an avid sports fan.

Husband of the late Leeca Brown. Loving father of Kristin L. Dussasult and husband David of Wakefield, Gerald C. Holleran, Jr. and wife Marjorie of Wakefield, Brian E. Holleran and Donna of Wakefield, Kevin G. Holleran and girlfriend Jacqueline of Peabody, and Patrick H. Holleran and wife Autumn of Colo. Brother of the late Muriel Ann Holleran, John H. Holleran, Jr. and Edward P. Holleran. Cherished grandfather of Haylee, Derek, Gerald III, McKaela, Kellie, and Jack. Also survived by great-grandson, Andrew; as well as many cousins.

Funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
