NORTH READING – The town has its first Little Free Library, courtesy of two troops of North Reading Girl Scouts.
This week, members of Brownie Troop 69175 and Daisy Troop 62548 met at Ryers Store Tuesday afternoon to put the finishing touches on the little library, housed in a decorated wooden box just off the front stairs of the business. The box for the library was reportedly donated by parent Landrey Fagan. All of the girls are reportedly North Reading residents who attend the three elementary schools in town.
Along with decorating the library box with painted outdoor-themed squares, the girls also brought books along and took turns depositing them into the new library. People are welcome to take and leave books from the libraries.
