BOSTON — Several of the Lynnfield High girls’ indoor track and field team went to the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston to compete in the Red Auerbach Freshman/Sophomore Meet (small school division) on Sunday.

“We have a young team so this was good exposure for them,” explained Pioneers head coach Adam Dell’Aria. “It gives the girls something to shoot for.”

The 4×200 relay team of Clara Caulfield, Lily Rocco, Kaila George and Ava Willoughby placed 15th out of 26 teams with a time of 203.

Caufield was 37th in the 55-meter hurdles at 11.13 seconds while Gabby Bottaro placed 28th out of 40 runners in the mile at a personal-best time of 6:20.

The next dual meet for the Pioneers will be on Jan. 17 as they take on Triton at the New Balance Complex in Brighton. Lynnfield entered this week at 0-1.
