Warriors have seven individual selections, one relay team named

WAKEFIELD — The Middlesex League girls’ track coaches met recently to make this year’s all-star selections in both the Freedom and Liberty divisions.
The second place Warriors had seven individual all-stars and one relay team chosen in the Freedom division.
The individual all-stars selections included sophomore Abby Harrington (400 hurdles), junior Sara Custodio (mile), junior Samantha Ross (triple jump), junior Julia Derendal (javelin), senior Emily Hammond (800 meters), freshman Allee Purcell (400 meters) and senior Shannon Quirk (two mile).
The 4×400 relay team was also selected and the four runners were Purcell, Hammond, senior Jillian Raso and Harrington.
M.L. Freedom division champion Burlington had 10 individual selections, one relay team and the league MVP.
Melrose, Wilmington and Watertown each had five all-stars chosen, while Stoneham had three athletes honored.
