Harry-Gresek-Obit-bw_webNORTH READING — Harry P. Gresek, Jr., 67, of North Reading and formerly of Lynn, died Thursday, March 10, at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington.

Born in Lynn on March 21, 1948, he was the son of the late Harry P. Gresek, Sr. and Mary (Eafrate) Gresek. He was raised and attended school in North Reading and was a graduate of North Reading High School, Class of 1965. He also attended Northeastern University.

Harry was the co–founder of Lobster Claw Seafoods in North Reading. He was the owner and operator for 40 years. He had tremendous courage and a beautiful smile. Harry was a great athlete for North Reading High School and became co–captain of his football team. He was a loving father and husband. He had ambition, charm and charisma. He has been a leader in the community since the 60’s.

Harry enjoyed Sulky Racing in Maine and golf. He was a member of the Georgetown Country Club.

Family members include his loving wife, Ingrid (Hansen) Gresek; sons, Victor Gresek of South Boston and Lucas Gresek of Haverhill; brothers Alex Gresek of Tewksbury, Daniel Gresek of Ipswich and Stephen Gresek of Orlando, FL; sisters Laurel Joyce of Tewksbury and Susan Tomaselli of FL; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

His calling hours will be held at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading on Saturday, March 19, from noon to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to: American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave., Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451-8750.
