MELROSE — Helen R. Cronin passed away on Friday, Dec. 11.
Born March 27, 1927 to Timothy and Helena Cronin of Somerville, Helen was the sister of Claire F. Cronin (deceased) of Melrose, Walter F. Cronin (deceased) also of Melrose, Madelyn Winn of Somerville and Ann C. Golini (deceased) of Brewster.
A loving aunt, she leaves 11 nieces and nephews and 16 great nieces and nephews.
Helen was raised in Somerville, attended The St. Catherine School and Somerville High School. She resided there for over 40 years before moving to Melrose where she lived for over 35 years.
Helen was employed by The Chronicle News in Cambridge for several years. Afflicted with arthritis early in life, Helen enjoyed reading, knitting, family, friends and travel to local destinations.
Burial services will be private. Arrangements by the Gately Funeral Home, Melrose.
