Enjoyed watching the Red Sox and Patriots
DENNIS — James T. “Jimmy” Christie, Jr., 54, died Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Massachusetts General Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Born in Framingham on March 24, 1964, he was a son of Judith A. Christie and the late James T. Christie, Sr. Jimmy was a graduate of Natick High School and went on to earn a bachelor of arts degree from Framingham State College. He spent his career working as a counselor and client advocate for various health agencies on Cape Cod. Jimmy’s engaging personality was known to many as he also worked in local restaurants.
In his spare time, he enjoyed family, friends, reading, watching the Red Sox and Patriots games, and listening to the Grateful Dead.
Jimmy is survived, and will be deeply missed, by his mother, Judith A. Christie of South Dennis, his sister, Melissa Driscoll and her husband Daniel of North Reading, and his brother, Steven Christie of Dennis. Jimmy was also the proud uncle of his three nephews, Shane, Michael and Patrick Driscoll, all of North Reading. Jimmy also enjoyed time spent with his aunts, uncles and many cousins.
At the family’s request, visitation was omitted. Family and friends are invited to attend Jimmy’s funeral Mass on Saturday, May 5, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Cape Church, Brewster. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, South Dennis.
