Chef worked for several restaurants

Jamie-Scioli-obit-webMELROSE — Jamie Robert Scioli, 42, passed away suddenly at his home in Melrose on Friday, April 1.

Jamie was born in Malden on June 7, 1973. He was raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School in 1991 and attended the North Shore Community College and Bunker Hill Community College. Mr. Scioli was a lifelong resident who had a passion for cooking and eating and worked as a chef at several restaurants in the Boston area.

Jamie was an excellent baseball player. He played ball for Melrose High School and continued to play ball in softball leagues after he graduated. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and loved following the Patriots, Bruins, Red Sox and Celtics. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Jamie was the cherished son of Margaret L. (Barisano) Scioli of Melrose and Robert W. Scioli and his wife Linda of Winchester. He was the loving brother of Robert “Rob” Scioli and his wife Eleni of Riverdale, N.Y. and Gina Scioli of Winchester. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation was held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster St., Melrose, on Tuesday, April 5, followed by a Celebration of Life. Interment will be private.
