A woman with many passions in life

nicastroobit-webLYNNFIELD — Jane M. Nicastro, 66, of Lynnfield and formerly of Wakefield died Sunday, April 2, at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Winchester, September 25, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale D. and Jean S. (Orsini) Nicastro.

Jane was very spunky. She had many passions in life which included playing her own version of Solitaire, sipping ice coffee from her Dunkin’ Donuts cup, and dancing.

She was an avid wrestling fan, and watch collector, and enjoyed going out to dinner. Her favorite thing was spending time with her family and house mates at her group home.

Jane is survived by her 4 sisters: Judy McPhail and her husband Richard of Florida, Harrine McPhail and her husband Arthur, Pattie Nicastro, and Carol Hubbard and her husband Jake, all of Wakefield. She was the niece of Rosemarie Franzaroli and her husband George of Roslindale. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o’clock.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.

Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
