Nurse, mother of three

Janet-Predko-e1501958467358_webKENNESAW, Ga. – Mrs. Janet A. (Campbell) Predko, 66, of Kennesaw, GA died Tuesday, August 2, 2017 after a brief illness.

She was born to C. Sutton and Lydia Campbell on October 4, 1950 in Winchester. She resided in North Reading, MA with her parents and younger sister where she graduated from North Reading High School in 1968. She then attended nursing school at Salem Hospital School of Nursing. Her Registered Nursing career encompassed Salem Hospital, John T. Berry Rehabilitation Center and various psychiatric facilities in New Hampshire. She was still working as a Psychiatric Nurse Case Manager in Georgia for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield until her passing.

On May 19, 1973, she married the late Peter Predko with whom she had three children. They resided in North Reading, MA until moving to Londonderry, NH in 1984. In October of 2005 they relocated to Kennesaw, GA to be close to their first grandson.

Janet loved spending time with her family and attending events with her two Red Hat groups. Her many hobbies included reading, crocheting, playing Skip-Bo with her sister and cribbage with her best friend, Richie. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and watched every episode of every show on HGTV, sometimes twice.

She is preceded in death by Peter, her husband of 41 years. She is survived by her daughter Amanda Leonard and her husband Brian of Kennesaw, GA; her daughter Rebecca Predko of Alpharetta, GA; and her son Nicholas Predko and his fiancé Lisa Santilli of Stratham, NH. She is also survived by her two grandchildren Ian and Sarah Leonard of Kennesaw, GA; her sister Susan Horton and brother-in-law Charles of Windermere, FL; nephew Douglas Horton and his wife Randi Horton and great nieces Katie and Jenny Horton all of Palm Harbor, FL. She is also survived by her best friends Richard Triconi of Spring Hill, FL and Joyce Bryson of Bellingham, MA and her three aunts and many cousins. She is also survived by her three grand-dogs, Abby Mae, Nero and Nox.

A Celebration of Life was held at her home in Kennesaw, GA in August. An interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery at 171 Elm Street, North Reading, MA on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 10:30am followed by a luncheon reception at Teresa’s Function Facilities at 20 Elm Street, North Reading, MA.
