Hairdresser, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation advocate

Janice-Henry-Obit-webNORTH ANDOVER – Janice C. (Jezowski) Henry, 66, of North Andover, formerly of Andover, North Reading and Wakefield, died at Sunday, May 28, at the Hannah Duston Healthcare in Haverhill.

Born in Lynn on September 30, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Thelma L. (Wilson) Jezowski. Janice was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School in Lynn and Cosmetology School.

Janice worked for many years as a hairdresser, she later became a loving and caring foster parent and she also worked as a cook at St. Augustine’s Church in Andover. She was a member of St. Theresa’s Church in North Reading and St. Michael’s Church in North Andover.

She was very outgoing and always wanted to help people. Janice was a foster parent for over ten years and was an advocate for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for over twenty years.

Janice was a very big fan of the arts, including museums, concerts, plays and musicals. She got the greatest joy babysitting her grandsons as well as visiting with friends and family.

Family members include her loving husband of 45 years, John E. Henry, Jr.; her loving children, Christina Henry and her fiance’ Shawn Peterson of Fitchburg, Patrick Henry and his wife Alicia Henry of Manchester, NH and the late Michelle Henry; her sister, Jeanie Pigeon and her husband Joe of Brockton and late brother, Anthony Jezowski; 4 cherished grandsons, Hunter, Nicholas, Zachaery and Oliver.

Her funeral was held from the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading on Friday, June 2 at 9:15 AM followed by a 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter Street (Rt. 62), North Reading. Calling hours were held on Thursday, June 1 from 4 to 8 PM. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading.
