Melrose H.S. secretary was sister of local resident

SAUGUS —  Mrs. Janice Seelley, 59, of Saugus, formerly of Everett, passed away on Monday, Dec. 21 at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. She was the loving wife of Robert J. Seelley.

Born in Everett, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Marion (Golini) Lucci. She was a devoted secretary at Melrose High School where she served as a mother figure to many students. Amongst her many interests Mrs. Seelley enjoyed looking after her grandchildren and spending time shopping with her girlfriends. A multi dimensional person, cooking was one of her extraordinary talents.

In addition to her husband, she was the beloved mother of Gina Lecouras, Lana Gavin and Eva Seelley all of Saugus; four grandchildren Aiden, Evan, Fay and Cora. She was the sister of Paul Lucci of North Reading and the late Ricky and Bobby Lucci and dear aunt of Paul and Christine Lucci of North Reading and Michael Lucci of Merrimack, N.H.

Her funeral was held from the Bisbee–Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., Saugus on Wednesday, followed by a funeral Mass in Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Summer St., Saugus. Interment Glenwood Cemetery, Everett.
