Retired Wakefield Junior High teacher

WAKEFIELD — Jean P. Turner, 87, a lifelong Wakefield resident, died on Friday, March 24, at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.
Born in Wakefield on August 27, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Michele and Rita (Colannino) Leone.
Mrs. Turner was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1947, and received her master’s degree from Boston University. She was a retired teacher from the Wakefield Junior High School.
Mrs. Turner was the wife of the late Richard W. Turner. She is survived by her two sons: David J. Turner and his wife Karin of Middleton and William M. Turner and his wife Deborah of San Marcos, CA; her daughter Lynne R. Muscato and her husband Mark of Dover, NH; and her six grandchildren; Alyssa Turner, Nathan, Jacob, Gwen and Audrey Muscato and Jessica Willoughby. Mrs. Turner was predeceased by her nine siblings.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Interment will immediately follow.
