WAKEFIELD — Jean Pedersen, 90, of Wakefield and formerly of Malden, died peacefully Sunday, Dec. 20, 2020.

She was born in Boston on March 18, 1930 to the late Nicola and Theresa (DeFina) Carrazza. Jean had been a Malden resident for 42 years before making her home in Wakefield. Jean was a homemaker and also worked as an officer manager for a retail clothing store until retirement. She loved to cook and always took pride in hosting dinners and holidays for her family.

 Jean was the devoted wife of 67 years to the late Henry Pedersen. She was the loving mother of Henry Pedersen Jr. and his wife Donna (Fitzgerald) of New Hampshire, Donna D’Addario and her late husband Michael of Wakefield, Laura Ledin and her husband Greg of Wakefield, and the late Sandra Pedersen. Jean was the sister of Nick Carrazza of Ashland, the late Pauline Ruzanski, Frank Carrazza, Mary Carrazza and Sandra Carrazza. Jean was most proud of her grandchildren. She is survived by her eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Peggy Zucco of Melrose and Anna Carrazza of West Roxbury.

Services will be private. Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
