ObitHowlett-webNORTH ANDOVER — John A. Howlett, 62, of North Andover, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, at Kindred Hospital in Peabody.

John was born in Lawrence to the late Warren and Mildred (Wolger) Howlett. He graduated from Wakefield High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University.

He was a car and truck salesman for many years at several area dealerships.

During his spare time he enjoyed collecting die cast model cars, gardening, reading, writing and geneology. John was an avid sports fan, especially fond of his Patriots and Red Sox. His greatest passion was spending time with his family, especially vacationing in Cedarville.

John was the beloved husband of Susan M. (Kelleher) Howlett of North Andover, to whom he was married for 38 years. He is also survived by his loving children, Timothy J. Howlett and his wife Caitlin of Danvers, Michael J. Howlett of Tewksbury and Emily J. Howlett of Haverhill; his sister, Anne Ferrigno of Henniker, N.H.; his mother-in-law, Patricia Kelleher of Wakefield; his aunts, Edie Spicer of Hanson and Marion Maxwell of Acton; his five sisters-in-law and their spouses; his 14 nieces and nephews, many cousins and his two cats, Jasper and Jasmine.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday, April 2, at 11 a.m. in the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third St., North Andover. Interment will be private.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 1, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
