U.S. Army veteran with local survivors

EVERETT—  Joseph Gaetano Bonanno of Everett, entered into rest on Monday, Aug. 8, 2016 in the Golden Living Center-Elmhurst in Melrose. He was 88 years old. Joe was born in Everett and was a lifelong resident. He was a barber by profession but had other jobs before retiring.

Joseph was the beloved husband of Mary A. (Pagliuca) for over 62 years. He was the dear and devoted father of Marie Jennie O’Connor and her husband Thomas M. of North Reading, Joseph A. Bonanno and his wife Maria P. of Everett and Carolyn Zidel of Everett. He was the brother of the late Frank and Samuel Bonanno and the loving grandfather of Christopher and Hannah O’Connor, Antonio and Tina Bonanno, Jennie Brown and her husband, Derrick and Alexander Zidel.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Joseph’s visiting hour in the Cafasso & Sons Funeral Home, 65 Clark St. (Corner of Main Street) Everett, Thursday, Aug. 11 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. with funeral home service to follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joseph’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, 150 Cambridge Park Dr., #202, Cambridge MA 02140 would be sincerely appreciated.
