WAKEFIELD — Josephine DiNanno, 90, of Wakefield died on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Woodbriar Health Center in Wilmington.

Born in Filetto, Italy on December 17, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Maria
(Cicchini) DiNanno.

Ms. DiNanno graduated in 1946 from Everett High School with honors. She was a member of St. Florence Church in Wakefield and the Sons of Italy. She had worked as a seamstress and tailor at Jordan Marsh Co. and ultimately retired as a claims adjuster from Blue Cross Blue Shield. Ms. DiNanno was a smart, strong, and independent woman who was very devoted to her family.

Ms. DiNanno was the sister of Jino DiNanno and his wife Lydia and Luco DiNanno and his wife Janet, all of Wakefield and the late Anthony DiNanno and his late wife Catherine. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
