MELROSE — The Melrose High School Guidance and Counseling Department has announced the names of the 2015 annual junior book award winners.

The college book awards are a way each year for local and national colleges and universities to recognize outstanding high school students that embody the ideals of their institutions.

These academically talented and civic minded high school juniors have exhibited outstanding achievement and service to their school and community over the past three years. The 19 juniors chosen by MHS to receive college book awards have met the specific criteria set out by each respective institution, and were chosen by members of the guidance department. “We are extremely proud of their achievements and the way they represent Melrose High School and the Melrose community,” said a spokesperson.
