DERRY, N.H. — Julio Sarno, 89, of Derry, N.H. passed away Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the Pleasant Valley Nursing Home, Derry, N.H.
He was born on Oct. 28, 1926 in Somerville, a son of the late Carmino and Esther (Demarco) Sarno. Mr. Sarno resided in Derry for 7 months, formerly living in Wakefield for over 50 years. He was a devout Catholic who regularly attended Mass. He enjoyed trips to Mohegan Sun Casino.
He is survived by his four children, Elaine Bailey of Auburn, N.H., Joseph Sarno of Weare, N.H., Carol Nestor of Londonderry, N.H. and Anthony Sarno of Derry, N.H.; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Ann L. (Berardi) Sarno in July 2015.
Following cremation, a Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 2, at 10 a.m. in St. Matthew Church, 2 Searles Rd., Windham, N.H. Burial will be at later date in the Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
